What mobile books are and how to read them.

Mobile books of here are free books in FB2 format, very suitable for reading on handheld devices such as mobile phones, smartphones or PDAs.

FB2 (or FictionBook version 2) is an XML-based format there any element of text is marked by a special tag. This format was developed especially for e-books. See more in Wikipedia and the developer’s website.

Any .fb2 file is a text file, so it can be opened with any text editor, i.e. Notepad. But it is better to use a special software (an e-book reader) to read FB2 books conviniently. Several free ebook readers are now available for different mobile and desktop platforms:

I use Alreader on my Gigabyte GSmart MW700 with WM6 and FBReader on Intel PC with Debian Linux.
